Mother · 1915–2011
Nina Mitchell — stage name Nina Evans — was an actress and mother of six. She performed in the first production of "Murder in the Cathedral" by T.S. Eliot at Canterbury Cathedral, then in London at the Mercury Theatre (1936), and at the Ritz Theater, New York, on 16 February 1938. During World War 2 she was a member of The Pilgrim Players of Canterbury, a touring theatre company performing in shelters, churches, prisons and military bases across the UK. She lived her later years in Hampstead, London, and died in 2011.
